Japan Fest at Vidya Vikas Public School — A Meaningful Celebration of Japanese Culture

Recently, Vidya Vikas Public School hosted an exciting Japan Fest in collaboration with Tamai Onettom India Pvt. Ltd.(KIWAMI) The event brought students closer to Japanese culture through interactive activities, conversations, and engaging experiences designed to spark curiosity and learning.

What made this event especially meaningful was the long-standing connection between Mrs. Tamai (CEO of KIWAMI) and Jaya-Ma’am ( Principal of VVPS), whose shared interest in promoting Japanese language and culture helped make Japan Fest possible for the students.

Rather than being a traditional session, the fest created a lively and welcoming atmosphere where students could explore Japan in a natural and enjoyable way.

A Closer Look at Japan
Through a mix of conversations, visuals, and storytelling, students were introduced to different aspects of Japan—its language, traditions, and everyday life. This hands-on exposure helped them connect with the culture in a meaningful way and understand that language learning goes far beyond textbooks and the internet.

The major highlight — The Curiosity Corner

Among the many activities during Japan Fest, one particularly memorable part was the “Curiosity Corner,” where students freely asked questions and explored different aspects of Japan.

Instead of a formal interaction, the session became a lively and enjoyable space filled with curiosity, excitement, and meaningful conversations. Students showed great interest in Japan’s daily life, school culture, traditions, communication styles, and language and our native speakers answered all their questions with the same energy .

Their enthusiasm transformed the activity into one of the most engaging moments of the event.
