🤝 Special Session of KIWAMI Japanese at DPS, Ranchi

A special KJ Japanese language program was conducted at DPS Ranchi for students of Classes V–VIII by native Japanese instructors along with an Indian teacher. Each class was visited twice, and the sessions were carefully planned to help students build strong language foundations while keeping the learning interactive and enjoyable.

 Session 1 — Hiragana, Katakana & Self-Introduction

Students of Classes V–VI learned Hiragana and practiced self-introduction phrases, including writing their names in Japanese.
Students of Classes VII–VIII were introduced to Katakana and practiced self-introductions, sharing future goals, and using new Japanese words and expressions in simple conversations.

🗣 Session 2 — Hospitality Conversations & Role-Play
During the second session, students practiced real-life conversations used in the hotel and hospitality industry, such as:

Welcoming guests
Taking food orders
Using polite service expressions

Learning how to count people, tastes, and payments numerically in Japanese.
Practicing how to express “your dream” in Japanese.

The session focused not only on language acquisition but also on encouraging students to reflect on their future aspirations.

They then participated in interactive role-play activities, applying what they learned in engaging, real-world scenarios — making the sessions lively, meaningful, and confidence-building.

These activities not only enhanced students’ Japanese language skills but also supported the development of teamwork, communication, and cultural awareness.
