Cultural Exchange program in DPS, Ranchi for classes 5 and 6
Tamai Onettom India Private Limited has organized an online cultural exchange program between Delhi Public School, Ranchi(DPS) from India, and Nara Ikuei Global Elementary School from Japan on 7th February 2024. The students of classes 5 and 6 participated in this program.
The event was started by DPS students of Classes 5 and 6. The students of class 6 started the event by sharing a handmade model with a converter of potential energy to kinetic energy. The next topic for the model exhibition was Stories: Gateway to Imagination. It describes in detail how a story is written. It was again a handmade model showing in detail how stories are written concerning English literature.
Then class 5 students came and started explaining the Indian Force army with a handmade model. Next, the student shared about ” Physics in Everyday Life”, they shared the model regarding the application of electricity in every house. Later it was followed by a mathematics model related to the famous Pythagoras Theorem and Pie. Lastly, a student shared about the interesting facts of Number “9” and tips and tricks related to it.
Then Japanese Students moved the program ahead and it was first started with class 5 students. They started with an interesting MCQ quiz that was related to Japanese Flowers, birds, fish, mammals, etc. They shared some information related to it and Indian students had to answer it.
Then Class 6 students continued sharing information about their favorite animated character and some projects they had made in their painting class in the school. Many students showed paintings they made related to butterflies and beetles.
The event ended with an interesting interaction between students from both ends where they asked questions from each other related to their culture. We plan to conduct more such events.
