Cultural Exchange Program in DPS for class 3 and 4

Cultural exchange is sharing different ideas, traditions, and knowledge with someone who may be coming from a completely different background than your own. It highlights the beauty of diversity and makes the world a more beautiful, connected place for everyone.
We, KIWAMI organized a virtual Cultural Exchange program among the students of India and Japan.
Students of Class 3 and Class 4 attended this event from Delhi Public School, Ranchi, India, and Nara Ikuei Global Elementary School, Japan.

Students from DPS initiated the event by describing about different  rules we follow in India at different places. For example, rules students follow at school, rules while driving, while crossing the roads, rules where horns are prohibited etc. This gave students of Japan an insight about our system  and how things are different in India. Students had prepared various traffic signs for a better understanding. Also, the students along with this shared about good food choices and focused on the super food - MILLETS and their benefits and some examples of dishes that can be prepared with it. Students from Japan got really excited seeing the dishes and traffic signs prepared by students and were curious to ask questions about it.

Students from Japan played a very interesting quiz with the DPS students wherein they showed zoomed pictures of animals and fruits and the students had to guess its name. There were pictures like dragon fruit, baby panda, muskmelon, baku etc. It was enjoyable to watch students guess the images and eagerly seek the correct answers.

This event was a great success as we could tell from the children’s happy faces and we  look forward to having more sessions like this in different schools.
